The Top 100 Universal Conversation Starters You Can Use in Any Situation
Here’s a great find I recently discovered…
On the ‘Reality Method’ website, the owner has listed 100 conversation starters you can use in different situations. The author of this post states that each on has been successfully used in real life situation.
I do agree with the author when he states that openers should only be used as a crutch if you’re not sure what to say to a woman to initiate a conversation. What I teach in my free ebook - ‘Seduction Secrets…Revealed‘ is the importance of sparking curiosity AND interest when you use a conversation starter. Typically most pick up lines do little to accomplish this.
But…
These 100 openers are actually pretty good. A lot of them are out there, but they seem to be good at getting a woman talking.

Video that Discusses if Bad Pick Up Lines to Pick Up Chicks
Here’s a video provided from the guys over at DoubleViking.com
In the video, Marcus Estrada does a field test to find out if bad pick up lines can pick up chicks. It shows him approach 10 different women and use a really bad pick up line.
While it was hard to hear some of the lines, I loved to watch the various reactions he received from these women. Some seemed genuinely terrified while others were somewhat interested.
My personal favorite from the bunch was this line: “You’re so hot I would murder your boyfriend”
The final conclusion, which is no surprise is the fact that the pick up lines were not very successful in attracting the attention of these women. Instead of getting these women interested, the pick up lines repulsed them.

When Should You Use a Cute Pick Up Line?
pick up lines are a risky way to start a conversation with women. When you use them, you run the risk of looking like a fool.
What I usually recommend to my readers is to look for genuine conversation starters instead of using a lame pick up line. But if you can’t think of anything to say, you can try a cute pick up line. The key is to make sure it comes across as a genuine compliment. If you make her feel special, you’ll at least be able to continue conversation. The rest is up to you.
To get started, here are a few different cute pick up lines that you can use. Like I said before, pick up lines aren’t the best way to start a conversation. But at least these won’t make the girl slap you:
“I don’t think I have met you before, because I would have certainly remembered a good-looking woman like you”
“I can’t believe I have been here the whole night and when I see ‘The One’, I have to say good bye”
“Were you always this cute or do you have to work at it?”
“You’re so how that you could make Satan sweat.”
“I’ve had a lousy day today. It always makes me feel better to see a pretty girl smile. So would you smile for me?”
“Are you as beautiful on this inside as you are on the outside?”
“Is it hot in here, or is it just you?”
“Weren’t you on the cover of Vogue?”
“I am not drunk. I am just intoxicated just by being around you.”
“Haven’t we met before…oh yeah, you’re the girl with beautiful smile!”
“Right now I feel like Richard Gere, because I am standing next to a Pretty Woman.”
“I now that milk ‘does a body good’, but damn girl, how much milk have you been drinking?”

Trying to use a cute pick up line is not the best way to engage a conversation. While you might get her to start talking, you won’t have taken any steps to creating rapport with her. So instead of using a cute pick up line, try to find something genuine that you like a woman and use that to start talking to her.

Why Are You Using Cheesy Pickup Lines?
Using cheesy pickup lines can be a dangerous way to strike up a conversation with a woman. When you say them to women, you run the risk of annoying her and having her run for the hills.
For instance, if you use any of these cheesy pick up lines, you’ll discover that women will think you’re an idiot:
“Excuse me…I have lost my phone number, can I borrow yours?”
“Is it just me, or are we destined to be married?”
“Are you from Tennessee? Because you’re the only TEN that I SEE!”
“Do you clean your pants with Windex? Because I can see myself in them”
“Hello, do you believe in love at first site? If so, should I walk by again?”
“You must be religious, because God is telling me you’re an angel!”
“Hey…I lost my puppy. Can you help me find him? I think he went into that cheap hotel across the road”
“Hello, I’m easy. Are you?”
“You have an incredible pair of legs! What time are they open?”
“Hey, do you know karate, because your body is kickin”
“Do you like dorky guys that live with their parents and have no money?”
“If I start petting you, would you follow me home?”
“Hey, I really like your peaches, wanna shake your tree!”

Instead of trying to use cheesy pickup lines, you should instead use a more natural conversation starter.
What you can do is notice something about a woman which makes her unique. Then go up to her and give a genuine compliment. It can be the way she dresses or how she interacts with her friends. Just find something that is something that you honestly like. By tailoring a compliment to the woman you’re pursuing, you’ll find more success then you would when you use cheesy pickup lines.
Trying to use cheesy pickup lines to start conversations is probably the worst way to start talking to a woman. When you take the time to create a genuine compliment, you’ll discover that your overall success with women will increase!

How to Effectively Use Corny Pick Up Lines to Approach Women
For most guys, it’s pretty hard to go up to an attractive woman and start a conversation. That is why many of them use corny pick up lines in attempt to start talking to them.
But what usually happens is a woman will be instantly turned off when you try corny pick up lines. The reason is guys tend to say them in a sleazy manner.
The good news is you can still use corny pick up lines is you follow a certain pattern. In fact, there are three very simple steps for using them that could help you initiate a conversation.
Step 1
Your first step is to think of some corny pick up lines to us. If you are having trouble think of any, you can use the ones that I have listed below:
“Pinch me…I think I am dreaming of you right now”"Can I borrow a quarter? I promised my mom I would call her when I met the girl of my dreams”
“Wow! I didn’t know angels could fly this low”
“You’re kind of like a dictionary, because you add meaning to my life”
“Can I take your picture, because I want to show Santa Claus want I want for Christmas”
“Your lips look lonely, they should meet mine”
“I am a love pirate and I am here for your booty…Yaaagggghhhrrrr”
“When I look at you, my teeth hurt because you are so sweet”
“I was so enraptured with your beauty that I ran into a wall. So I will need your name and number, for insurance purposes”
“If I could rearrange the alphabet, I would put U and I together”
Step 2
Your second step is to confidently approach her and give her a charming smile. This step is important because most of attraction and interest is built up when a girl first sees you. So it’s critical to make sure that she sees you as being a confident male.
Step 3
The final step involves actually saying one of your corny pick up lines. In this day and age, most people know that these lines are pretty cheesy and usually don’t work. But you can be successful if you say a pick up line in a sarcastic manner that is making fun of yourself.
By being a little cheesy while showing you have a sense humor about yourself, you’ll be able to successfully initiate a conversation with a woman.
While I normally don’t recommend using corny pick up lines when you start talking to women, they can be useful in certain situations. So if you don’t mind sounding a little cheesy and have no problem laughing at yourself, you might be able to pull them off.

Do Dirty Pick Up Lines Work?
Imagine this…
…You’re out drinking somewhere with your friends. Across the room, you see a very attractive woman. You want to go talk to her, but you can’t think of anything to say. Unfortunately, you ask your buddies for advice. Since you’ve been drinking, some of their advice is pretty interesting, including the one about using dirty pick up lines to attract her attention.
The logic behind using dirty pick lines is to quickly build up sexual chemistry between you and an attractive woman. The problem is dirty pick lines rarely work. All they tend to do is insult a woman and make her disgusted by your actions.
For instance, if you watch the reaction of women when they are presented with dirty pick up lines, you’ll see their usually revolted by these comments and will quickly walk away from you. Recently I’ve made a point of listening to men as they approach women in a bar. Here are some of the best (or worst) dirty pick lines that I have heard:
“Life is too short! How about we have sex and see if there is anything after that?”“If manage to take off my clothes, will you have sex with me?”“I would love to swap body fluids with you!”
“Pardon me, but have we ever had sex?”
“We can’t ignore nature. We were made to have sex…so let’s get to it”
“How about this…you can try me for tonight. If you don’t like it, then you’ve only wasted five hours of your life…well maybe more if you want foreplay”
“I just took a Viagra. So we have less then half an hour to get back to my place”
Even though these dirty pick lines are pretty funny, they almost never work. Women don’t want to be bombarded with sexual offers when they first talk to a guy. Instead they want to first focus on building attraction and chemistry.

4 Pick up Lines That Work
You may have heard that pick up lines don’t work. Well that is only half the story. The way to make a pick up line work is, yes, you’ve guessed it…..is to not make it sound like a pick up line! If you were a woman would you rather hear “ouch, it must have hurt when you fell from heaven” or “hi there, that’s a really cool necklace, what’s the story behind it?”
Notice how one pick up line sounds like you are trying too hard while the other one sounds more natural. And that’s the key to making pick up lines work. Studies have shown that it is not what you say as much as how you say it. Communication between human beings is mostly non-verbal, which means that only 20 to 40% of what you actually say has any real meaning to the other person. And if you are talking over the phone, the tone of your voice can convey far more than your words. So keep that in mind when you want to pick up on someone. Personally, I don’t like the term “pick up” I prefer the term “rapport”.
Another thing that makes a pickup line effective is when you are not too concerned about the outcome. It is far more effective to be focused on making her feel good and trying to pick up on her. So here are for pick up lines that work basically because they do not sound like pick up lines.
“Excuse me, but I couldn’t help but notice your necklace, it’s very unique is there a story behind it?”
“Hey ladies, let me ask you, this will only take a sec, I was wondering what you thought about…?”
“Hi there, I just wanted to let you know that I’m in a real hurry right now so I don’t really have a whole lot of time to be charming and witty. We will probably never see each other again so I’m going to be very forward and say that I think you have a very nice smile and we should get together for a drink sometime since I don’t know anything about you.” (This works extremely well when you see her walking on the street and you’re walking in one direction and she is walking in another direction).
“Hi there, I would really like to talk to you and see what you’re like but I haven’t seen you smile yet so let’s see that smile.”
I want you to keep something in mind and that is this: that it is not so much what you say but how you say it. I cannot over emphasize this enough. Unfortunately, this advice will fall on deaf ears because there are still plenty of men looking for pickup lines on the Internet. If a pickup line sound like a pick up line it loses its effectiveness. But if you can walk up to a woman and come off as natural, confident, and relaxed and you’re only objective is to have some fun than you will find your dating calendar filling up much faster than you anticipated.

4 Conversation Starters That Work Like Clockwork
Imagine you’re sitting down drinking a cup of coffee and you see an attractive woman. You want to talk to her, but you’re not quite sure what to say.
If you are like most men, this is a normal situation.
In fact, many guys don’t approach women because they are afraid of rejection. What they don’t realize is that all they have to do is break the ice with a conversation starter. Here are four of them that you can use to break the ice with women in most situations.
1. One of my favorite places to meet women is at a bookstore because there are so many interesting things to talk about there. Remember, it is very important to approach a woman from a place of confidence and power. Otherwise her defense mechanisms will appear and you won’t have a chance. Another thing to keep in mind is that you should approach a woman naturally without any ulterior motives. You see, women have a sixth sense and they are able to pick up negative vibes. So your best approach is to approach are from a natural position of curiosity.
A natural approach that you can use in a bookstore is to wait for an opportunity when she’s about to grab a book or a magazine. And then all you have to do is to say the following “excuse me, but I couldn’t help noticing that you are reaching for that particular book. Do you know what it’s about?”
The reason why this is so effective is because you are approaching her naturally and asking her a very natural question. It’s not contrived or disingenuous. Another reason why this is an effective conversation starter is that it demonstrates you are generally interested in what she is interested in. So the next time you’re in a bookstore keep an eye out for any woman who is perusing for books and magazines.
2. Another great conversation starter is to use something from the environment. As an example, let’s say your are in line, getting ready to order a cup of your favorite coffee. There happens to be an attractive woman standing in front of you. You look around, taking in the entire environment around you and you notice that the Barista who manning the counter at the moment has a large chocolate stain on his uniform. So you lean in and say to the woman in front of you, “Pssst, excuse me…but did you notice the large dark stain on that guy’s shirt?”
She will reply that she had or hadn’t, but either way you’ll respond with “I think I’m going to tell him. If I had a large yellow mustard stain on my shirt I would hope that a stranger like yourself would tell me.” And if she’s receptive to talking to someone, she’ll open up to you. If not, she won’t and it’s no big deal. The secret to success with the opposite sex is willing to take a chance and try making a connection.
3. A great conversation starter that works like clockwork is if you’re in a social setting such as a house party, a wedding reception, or some other kind of social event. A great way to get the conversation started is asking a woman or a group of women what their opinion is about something. Stay away from overly controversial subjects such as religion or politics. Women typically prefer to small talk about relationships, pop culture, fashion, travel, art, and anything that has emotions that surround it. If you want some good ideas, simply watch the Oxygen channel or Oprah for awhile. Even simply asking a group of women who is naturally better at relationships, men or women, will usually get the conversation started.
4. “Hi, my name is…” is a great conversation starter because it’s genuine and straight to the point. There are no pick up lines here, just one human being wanting to make a connection with another. Sometimes just saying “hello” or “what’s up?” is the best way to break the ice.
