Today, I was checking out the PerezHilton.com site and I came across an interesting piece of information…

Apparently there is a sex tape about to be released which features Lauren Conrad.

If you’ve never heard of her, 20 year old Lauren Katherine Conrad, often referred to as “L.C.”, is an American reality television star and student.  She is best known for her role in the MTV reality series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and The Hills, the latter of which earned her a Teen Choice Award in 2006.

It seems like Lauran made a private porn tape with her boyfriend Jason Wahler, a guy who has been arrested three times in the last year.  Now that he’s about to go to jail and serve a little bit of time, he’s trying to profit off the private tape he made with Conrad.  If he’s not able to sell the tape, it looks like it’ll be released to the Internet. 

While he gave her back the original, it looks like Wahler kept a copy which he is trying to peddle.

Anyway, what I’m wondering is why celebrities like her and Kim Kardashian are dumb enough to video tape themselves having sex.  Don’t they know that the tape will probably find its way on to the Internet?  Also according to the PerezHilton site, the tape didn’t show a very flattering aspect of her body. 

I guess we’ll have to wait and see if this is going to be released…
