How to Meet Women with Online Speed Dating

I am sure you may have heard of online dating, but have you heard of online speed dating? I will admit that I often using such dating sites to meet women. You may be surprised to learn that online speed dating has turned into a valuable dating tool for men.

Online speed dating is, basically, no different than regular (offline) speed dating except that you are communicating online rather than in a restaurant or bar. You simply log into the dating site at a pre-designated time and chat with a female about eight minutes, or whatever time the site has set. You then move on to the next woman and begin a new conversation. Similar to regular speed dating, everyone submits the names of those individuals they liked once the session is finished and, if the selection was mutual, contact information is provided to both the man and the woman. However, if the selection is one-sided contact information will not be provided to either party.

The good news is that online speed dating allows for a second chance to make contact with someone you are interested in. You do not have this opportunity with regular speed dating. If your initial conversation online did not go well or the selection was not mutual after the session finished, online dating allows you to view her profile and initiate contact through the dating site’s messaging system. So, even if that beautiful woman did not select you initially, all hope is not lost. You may still be able to chat with her more.

As with traditional dating and “offline” speed dating, it is important to stand out from the other guys and get her attention. Here are a few ways you can improve your chances of successful online speed dating.

First, you must create a profile that will separate you from others. Just like in-person dating, first impressions are important and your photo is your first impression for online dating. It is okay to have several photos on your profile, but have a professional picture taken to use as your primary photo. Remember also that the profile is your opportunity to show the woman more about yourself. Make your profile and, consequently, you enticing. Women are attracted to men with an interesting life full of fun and excitement. Let this shine through in your profile. However, leave a little mystery and avoid disclosing too much about yourself. Finally, use some humor throughout your profile, but do so in moderation. You do not want to give the impression of childish, self-deprecating, impractical or goofy.

Secondly, you must stand out during the chatting sessions also. Remember, you only have a few minutes. Try to make a connection with her and something she loves. She will not only find you more attractive but also be more likely to remember you. Avoid asking the expected, boring questions about her job, for example. Be sure to ask interesting questions allowing them to show their personality, such as questions about her dreams, hobbies, likes or dislikes and personality strengths, to name a few. It also never hurts to use a little humor to relieve any nervousness or tension.

Third, learn about what women really want. Women want a lot of things and, often, what they say they want is not what they really want. For example, they may want a nice guy but opt for the “bad boy.” Generally, women want such things as fun, security, excitement, adventure and romance. By learning what they want, you can more easily show them that you meet their expectations and are what they want. The key to succeeding in the world of online speed dating is to stand out with an amazing first impression and leave the women wanting to know more!
