In a recent video Erik Von Markovik a.k.a. Mystery discusses why most guys have a fear of approaching women.

The video, taken from one his workshops, goes into detail about how we were taught by evolution and past societal experiences helped to create this fear. 

I found it interesting because it shows that a lot of fear goes deeper then basic insecurity.  One of the best suggestions from the video is how getting comfortable with your surroundings will aid your attempts to approaching women.
